Our Range

Leaf Mulch
Leaf Mulch is a natural blend of recycled leaves, bark, needles and twigs. As it breaks down, it enriches soil with nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium while also helping to suppress weeds, lock in moisture, and regulate soil temperature. Once decomposed, it can be easily mixed into the soil to continue feeding your garden.
Available in 40L bags or by the cubic metre or fraction thereof. One 40L bag covers up to 1.5m².

Hardwood Chip
This mulch is made from screened and graded hardwood chips, offering a clean and consistent finish for garden beds and pots. It’s ideal for reducing weed growth, maintaining soil moisture, and insulating plant roots.
Available in 40L bags or by the cubic metre or fraction thereof. One 40L bag covers up to 1.5m².
Tea Tree Mulch
Tea Tree Mulch is a fine-textured, dark mulch made from chopped tea tree stems and leaves. Naturally aromatic and termite-resistant, it’s great for moisture retention, weed control, and maintaining consistent soil temperature. As it breaks down, it enriches the soil with nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium.
Available in 40L bags or by the cubic metre or fraction thereof. One 40L bag covers up to 1.5m².
Bulk Mulch, Easy Delivery, Local Advice
Our team knows the Forster climate and soil conditions, so we’re happy to help you choose the mulch that makes the most sense for your plants and project.
What Type of Mulch is Best for My Garden?
That depends on your garden’s needs. Organic mulch, like composted bark or sugarcane, is excellent for vegetable gardens and flower beds because it breaks down and feeds the soil. Wood chip mulch is long-lasting and perfect for general landscaping, while decorative mulch is often used in front yards or feature areas to enhance visual appeal.
How Thick Should I Apply Mulch?
A good rule of thumb is 7–10cm thick. This depth is enough to block sunlight from reaching weed seeds, retain moisture, and insulate the soil. Avoid piling mulch against plant stems or trunks—it can lead to rot or disease. Spread it evenly and refresh it once or twice yearly to maintain its benefits.
Can Mulch Improve Soil Quality?
Yes, especially organic mulch. As it breaks down, it adds nutrients to the soil, improves texture, and encourages healthy microbes. This natural process helps maintain good soil structure and supports root development. Over time, using mulch consistently can lead to richer, healthier soil without needing as many chemical fertilisers.
